Çalışmaya çalışma kriterlerine uyan 35 postmenopozal ( n=35), 30 premenopozal (n=30) toplam 65 kadın dahil edildi.

Depresyon ölçeği olarak Beck Depresyon skalası, el ve üst ekstremite fonksiyonlarının değerlendirilmesinde ise DASH (Disability of Arm, Shoulder and Hand) sorgulaması kullanıldı. Hastaların plazma östrodiol (E2), progesteron, follikül stimüle edici hormon ve lüteinize edici hormon düzeyleri kaydedildi.

Premenopozal ve postmenopozal kadınların Beck Depresyon skoru ve DASH sorgulaması arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptanmadı (p>0.05). Tüm hastaların (n=65) E2 düzeyi ile Beck depresyon skalası ve DASH skoru arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı negatif korelasyon saptandı (p<0,05).

Östrojen üst ekstremite fonksiyonları ve duygulanım üzerinde önemli etkiye sahiptir. Östrojen düzeyi azaldıkça kadınlarda üst ekstremite fonksiyonel kısıtlılığı ve depresyon düzeyi skoru artmaktadır.

This study included 35 postmenopausal, 30 premenopausal, total 65 women which had study critaries.

We used Beck Depression Scale for depression, DASH (Disability of Arm, Shoulder and Hand) questionaire for hand and upper limb functions. We recorded patients plazma estrodiol, progesterone, folicule stimulating hormon and luteinizing hormone levels. There was no significant difference between postmenopausal and premenopausal women's Beck depression and DASH scores (P>0.05). There was a significantly negative correlation between estrodiol level, Beck depression and DASH scores for all patients (n=65, p< 0.05)

Estrodiol has important effect on upper limb functions and affect. In our study, when estrodiol level decreased, patients upper extremity disability and depression scores were increased.
