ÖZET
Amaç: YouTube, dünyadaki en popüler ve en büyük paylaşım
sitelerinden biridir. İnternet geniş bir sağlık bilgi hizmeti sunmaktadır,
fakat bu bilgilerin güvenilirliğini belirlemek oldukça zordur. Bu çalışmanın
amacı, YouTube’da mikroişlemcili diz protezleri ile ilgili mevcut
olan bilgilerin güvenilirliğini, kalitesini ve içeriğini
değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: 27 Ağustos 2023 tarihinde
“Microprocessor Prosthetic Knee’’ anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak You-
Tube taraması yapılıp videolar belirlendi. Kesitsel bir çalışma olarak
dizayn edildi. Videolarla ilişkili olarak süre (dk), görüntülenme sayısı,
video yüklendikten sonra geçen süre (gün), beğenilme sayısı ve yorum
sayısı kaydedildi. Videolardaki bilgilerin güvenilirliği ve eğitim kalitesi
Amerikan Tıp Derneği Dergisi [Journal of the American Medical Association
(JAMA)] kriterleri, modifiye DISCERN ve Global Kalite Ölçeği
(GKÖ) kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Mikroişlemcili diz
protezleri konusu ile ilişkili 60 video tarandı ve belirlenen kriterlere
uygun olan toplam 28 video değerlendirmeye alındı. Bu videoların oldukça
az bir kısmı doktor (%7,1) ve doktor olmayan sağlık personeli
(%14,3) tarafından paylaşılmıştı. Videoların %78,6’sı düşük kalite ve
%7,1’i yüksek kalitedeydi. Video kaynakları arasında JAMA, GKÖ ve
modifiye DISCERN skorları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark
saptandı (p=0,001). Sonuç: Mikroişlemcili diz protezleri ile ilgili You-
Tube platformunda değerlendirilen videoların az bir kısmı yüksek kalitedeydi.
Kalite ve güvenilirliği yüksek olan videolar doktor ve doktor
olmayan sağlık çalışanları tarafından paylaşılan videolardı. İnternet kullanıcıları
sağlık alanında arama yaparken video kaynaklarının önemli
olduğu konusunda bilgilendirilmelidir. Alanında uzman sağlık çalışanları
tarafından paylaşılan videoların sayısının artması teşvik edilmelidir.

ABSTRACT
Objective: YouTube is one of the most popular and
largest sharing sites in the world. The internet offers a wide range of
health information services, but it is very difficult to determine the reliability
of this information. The aim of this study was to evaluate the
reliability, quality and content of the information available on YouTube
about microprocessor knee prostheses. Material and Methods: On
August 27, 2023, videos were determined by searching YouTube using
the keyword “Microprocessor Prosthetic Knee”. It was designed as a
cross-sectional study. Duration (min), number of views, time elapsed
after the video was uploaded (days), number of likes, and number of
comments were recorded in relation to the videos. The reliability of the
information in the videos and the quality of education were evaluated
using the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) criteria,
modified DISCERN and Global Quality Scale (GQS). Results: A
total of 60 videos related to the topic of microprocessor knee prostheses
were screened, and a total of 28 videos that met the inclusion criteria
were evaluated. A very small number of these videos were shared
by physicians (7.1%) and non-physician healthcare professionals
(14.3%). 78.6% of the videos were low quality and 7.1% were high
quality. There was a statistically significant difference between video
sources in terms of JAMA, GQS and modified DISCERN scores
(p=0.001). Conclusion: Few of the videos evaluated on the YouTube
platform about microprocessor knee prostheses were of high quality.
The videos with high quality and reliability were videos shared by
physicians and non-physician healthcare professionals. Internet users
should be informed that video sources are important when searching in
the field of health. Increasing the number of videos shared by healthcare
professionals who are experts in their field should be encouraged.
