Brown
tümörler, benign karakterli lezyonlardır ama malign kemik hastalıklarını
taklit edebilirler. Hastalığın ayırıcı tanısında klinik, laboratuvar,
radyolojik bulgular ve histopatolojik değerlendirmeler önemlidir.
Anahtar Kelimeler: Kronik böbrek yetmezliği; brown tümör; sekonder hiperparatiroidi, malignite
ABSTRACT
Chronic renal failure is a disease that affects both endocrine
and musculoskeletal systems in terms of causing secondary hyperparathyroidism.
Brown tumor, one of the rare complications of
hyperparathyroidism, is the result of osteoclastic activity resulting in
lesions, pathological fractures and pain in the skeletal system. In this
case report, a 60-year-old man, with a suspicion of metastatic bone
tumor but diagnosed as Brown tumor due to secondary hyperparathyroidism
is presented. Brown tumors are benign lesions, but they can
mimic malign bone diseases. Clinical, laboratory, radiological findings
and histopathological evaluations are important in the differential diagnosis
of the disease.
Keywords: Chronic renal failure; brown tumor; secondary hyperparathyroidism, malignancy
